Effects of labour market participation on the careers and life courses of asylum seekers

This report presents a desk-based literature review of the effects of labour market participation during the asylum procedure on the subsequent careers and life trajectories of asylum seekers. The summary first outlines the background, aims and methodology of the study. It then addresses the two central research questions, followed by an overview of the key findings, conclusions and main gaps in the literature reviewed. Finally, the summary sets out recommendations for Dutch and European policy and for future research.
